Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Foursquare National Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Financial Need
- Applicants must demonstrate financial hardship, supported by verifiable evidence of their inability to fund their education.
- Institutional Eligibility
- Undergraduate applicants must be enrolled in Federal or State universities, polytechnics, or other recognized tertiary institutions.
- Secondary school applicants must attend State-owned institutions.
- Students of McPherson University are also eligible.
- Academic Requirements
Undergraduate Applicants:
- Must have valid admission into a Federal or State tertiary institution.
- Students in 200 level and above must maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.5/5 (Second Class Upper Division) and provide certified academic transcripts.
Secondary School Applicants:
- Must be in Senior Secondary School (SS1 – SS3).
- Must have achieved a minimum cumulative score of 80% in their previous academic session.
- Renewal Criteria
- Undergraduate recipients must maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.5/5 for scholarship renewal.
- Secondary school recipients must maintain a minimum cumulative score of 70%.
- Age Limit
- Undergraduate applicants must not exceed 27 years of age.
- Secondary school applicants must not exceed 20 years of age.

Selection Process
- Eligible candidates will take an aptitude test administered by an independent body and must score at least 75%.
- Successful candidates from the written test will proceed to an oral interview conducted by an independent panel, whose decisions are final.
- The scholarship board reserves the right to verify all submitted documents and claims.
- Only successful applicants will be notified of their award.
Required Application Documents
For Undergraduate Applicants:
- A motivation letter- written by the applicant.
- WAEC result (for fresh undergraduates only).
- JAMB and Post-UTME results (for fresh undergraduates only).
- Admission letter (for fresh undergraduates only).
- Academic transcript from the previous session (for current undergraduates).
- Completed online application form.
- Birth certificate.
For Secondary School Applicants:
- Admission letter.
- Consent letter from parent(s) or guardian(s).
- Results from the previous academic session.
- Birth certificate.
Application Deadline
All applications must be submitted by March 25, 2025.
