Field Officer Opportunity – SWOGE
• SWOGE is seeking a dedicated Field Officer to support peacebuilding, governance, and economic resilience initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Support sensitization sessions with community members.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports.
• Support data collection and assessment activities.
• Perform other tasks as delegated.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Conflict Resolution, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related field.
• 3+ years of field experience in community mediation, conflict resolution, or peacebuilding.
• Strong understanding of local conflict dynamics and community structures.
• Experience in cross-border engagements (advantage).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in remote environments.
• Fluency in English, Hausa, and French (advantage).
Skills:
• Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
• Ability to build trust within communities.
• Cultural sensitivity.
• Proficiency in data collection and report writing.
• Knowledge of PSEA principles.
Personal Attributes:
• Strong ethical values and commitment to confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Patience, understanding, and a non-judgmental attitude.
