Field Officer Opportunity – SWOGE

  SWOGE is seeking a dedicated Field Officer to support peacebuilding, governance, and economic resilience initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  Support sensitization sessions with community members.

  Prepare weekly and monthly reports.

  Support data collection and assessment activities.

  Perform other tasks as delegated.

Qualifications & Experience:

  Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Conflict Resolution, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related field.

  3+ years of field experience in community mediation, conflict resolution, or peacebuilding.

  Strong understanding of local conflict dynamics and community structures.

  Experience in cross-border engagements (advantage).

  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  Ability to work independently in remote environments.

  Fluency in English, Hausa, and French (advantage).

Skills:

  Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.

  Ability to build trust within communities.

  Cultural sensitivity.

  Proficiency in data collection and report writing.

  Knowledge of PSEA principles.

Personal Attributes:

  Strong ethical values and commitment to confidentiality.

  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  Patience, understanding, and a non-judgmental attitude.
