Scheduled for July 2025, this unique program brings together 16 dynamic volunteers from various European countries to engage in intercultural activities designed for children and adults alike.

Key Details About the Program

Host Institution: The program is hosted by IB Polska, a well-established organization committed to fostering cultural exchange and supporting diverse communities.

Program Type: Fully funded. Volunteers can focus entirely on the experience without worrying about financial constraints.

Duration: The program runs for 23 days in July 2025, with a maximum of 35 working hours per week. Volunteers will also have ample free time to explore Kraków and build meaningful connections.

Responsibilities of Volunteers

Participants will take on a variety of roles, ensuring a dynamic and fulfilling experience. Responsibilities include:

  • Creating activity plans tailored to engage children and adults in meaningful ways.
  • Preparing materials needed for workshops, games, and other activities.
  • Leading activities in the organization’s social gardens, fostering a sense of community and intercultural understanding.
  • Documenting and summarizing the activities, contributing to a comprehensive project report.
  • Completing their YouthPass, which allows participants to assess and showcase their personal learning achievements.

Who Is Eligible?

This program is open to young individuals aged 18-30 from the following countries:

Austria, Belgium, Portugal, Spain, Germany, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Croatia, Romania, Hungary, Cyprus, Ukraine, Italy, Malta, Canary Islands, Liechtenstein, Georgia, Denmark, Netherlands, and Greece.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • A strong interest in working with children and adults.
  • Creative, open-minded, and eager to share your knowledge, skills, and time.
  • Basic English proficiency to communicate effectively with participants.
  • A commitment to the entire project, from planning to final evaluation.
  • A passion for exploring new cultures and embracing diverse learning experiences.

Program Benefits

This Fully Funded Volunteering Opportunities provides a range of benefits to ensure participants have a comfortable and enriching experience:

  1. Accommodation: Volunteers will stay in shared apartments rented by IB Polska across Kraków. These apartments include shared double rooms, communal kitchens, and bathrooms, fully equipped with essential living amenities.
  2. Food and Pocket Money: Participants will receive a food allowance and pocket money for the duration of the program. Volunteers will prepare meals themselves, allowing them to explore Polish cuisine firsthand.
  3. Transportation: IB Polska will provide public transportation tickets to ensure easy travel within Kraków.
  4. Travel Reimbursement: Travel expenses will be reimbursed based on the European Distance Calculator, with the following reimbursement limits:
    • 10 – 99 km: €28 (Standard Travel) / €56 (Green Travel)
    • 100 – 499 km: €211 (Standard Travel) / €285 (Green Travel)
    • 500 – 1999 km: €309 (Standard Travel) / €417 (Green Travel)
    • 2000 – 2999 km: €396 (Standard Travel) / €535 (Green Travel)
  5. Health Insurance: Volunteers must obtain a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), ensuring access to healthcare in Poland. Additional ESC supplementary insurance will be provided to complement national coverage.
  6. YouthPass Certification: Upon completing the project, participants will receive a YouthPass certificate, documenting their skills, contributions, and learning outcomes. This certificate is a valuable asset for future educational or professional opportunities.
