Call for Community Volunteers: Multi-Aid and Charity Initiative (MACI) Hiring in Northern Nigeria | 120 Open Positions
The Multi-Aid and Charity Initiative (MACI) is currently recruiting 120 Community Volunteers to support its Foundational ID and Financial Inclusion Project across six Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Borno and Yobe States.

- Borno State: Monguno, Damboa, Mobbar
- Yobe State: Jakusko, Bade, Potiskum

Multi-Aid and Charity Initiative (MACI) is a registered non-profit humanitarian organization dedicated to promoting equity, protecting human rights, and uplifting marginalized groups, especially women, children, and vulnerable communities.

ROLE OVERVIEW:
Community Volunteers will support the successful implementation of MACI’s Foundational ID and Financial Inclusion Project, in collaboration with WFP, NIMC, Partner Banks, and other development actors.
Volunteers will serve as frontline mobilizers to ensure that women, elderly persons, people with disabilities, and other vulnerable individuals are reached and assisted to access:
- National Identification Number (NIN) enrolment
- Bank Verification Number (BVN) registration
- Bank Account opening
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Community Mobilization & Awareness
- Sensitize and engage community members on foundational ID and financial services
- Promote participation in enrolment activities, especially among marginalized groups
- Work with traditional and community leaders to build trust and ensure inclusiveness
Crowd Management & Orderly Conduct
- Facilitate smooth crowd flow during enrolment exercises
- Maintain discipline and prioritize vulnerable persons in queues
- Ensure a safe and organized environment
Data Collection & Daily Reporting
- Collect attendance, feedback, and basic monitoring data using MACI tools
- Complete and submit daily reports, attendance sheets, and activity summaries
Beneficiary Assistance
- Support individuals during the registration/enrolment process
- Identify and escalate complex issues to MACI staff for resolution
- Flag any protection cases or urgent needs for appropriate response
Communication & Community Liaison
- Act as a bridge between MACI and the community
- Gather and relay feedback, concerns, and complaints through MACI’s established channels
- Ensure alignment with MACI’s humanitarian values and Zero Tolerance policy on Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA)

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Minimum of SSCE/NECO; ND or higher is an added advantage
- Experience: Prior experience in volunteering or community outreach is desirable
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English, Kanuri, and Hausa is essential
- Residency: Must be a native and current resident of the LGA in which you’re applying
- Soft Skills: Commitment to MACI’s values, teamwork, adaptability, emotional resilience, service orientation, and result-driven mindset
