DiginNew Incentives: Field Officer Positions – Multiple States, Nigeria
New Incentives is seeking motivated Field Officers to support our program dedicated to preventing child mortality in Nigeria. This is a contingency position to identify candidates for future scaling.
About New Incentives:
New Incentives operates a program that utilizes cash transfers to encourage mothers to complete the immunization schedule of their infants, in cooperation with State Primary Healthcare Development Boards. This program aims to increase demand for vaccinations and protect babies against deadly diseases.
Location:
Field Officers must already reside in one of the following towns in:
• Bauchi State
• Gombe State
• Kaduna State
• Kano State
• Kebbi State
• Niger State
Key Duties:
• Enrolling beneficiaries at remote public clinics
• Monitor immunization services at your clinic
• Interact with clinic staff and beneficiaries
• Conduct high-quality rapid assessments
• Assist with other duties related to the program
Required Qualifications:
• Fluency in local languages/dialects spoken in the relevant state, especially Hausa (Please specify fluency level in your cover letter).
• Nigerian national based in the specified state.
• Minimum of National Diploma (Bachelor’s degree preferred), ideally in health or other natural sciences.
• Willingness to work at remote public clinics and take public transport.
• Experience with the Nigerian health system and clinic documentation (particularly related to infant health and vaccinations).
• Experience in collecting and analyzing data is desirable.
• Careful attention to financial matters and management of funds.
• Detail-oriented, diligent professional.
• Passion to help others and reduce infant mortality.
• Very good communications and writing skills (English, Hausa, and dialects).
• Excellent responsiveness to email and phone requests.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel, internet browsers, smartphones, and new communications technology.
• Hard-working, result-oriented, and loyal.
• Motivation to work in a dynamic and evolving organization.
