The scholarship program is designed to assist students financially, ensuring they can focus on their academic goals without the burden of tuition and related expenses. The NSSB oversees the application process, evaluates submissions, selects qualified candidates, and disburses funds accordingly.

Scholarship Benefits for 2025
- MBBS/DVM: ₦120,000
- Pre-Clinical Studies: ₦60,000
- Engineering (Degree Level, All Fields): ₦90,000
- Pharmacy (Degree Level): ₦60,000
- Architecture (Degree Level): ₦60,000
- Environmental Studies (Degree Level): ₦60,000
- Law (LLB): ₦60,000
- Other Degrees, HND, NCE, ND, and OND: ₦50,000
- International Students: $1,500
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Niger State Government Scholarship 2025, applicants must:
- Be a Niger State indigene.
- Be enrolled in a full-time program at a tertiary institution in Nigeria or abroad.
- Provide proof of admission, including certified translations for non-English documents.

Types of Scholarships Offered
- Niger State Scholarship Bursary: Available to undergraduate and postgraduate students in Nigerian and international institutions.
- Bilateral Education Agreement (BEA) Scholarship: A collaborative award between the Nigerian Federal Government and foreign countries in Europe, the Caribbean, and Asia.
- Special Scholarship Award: Granted to secondary school students who achieve seven (7) distinctions in WASSCE or NECO exams. It covers 100% of tuition in Nigeria and 50% for studies abroad.
