Nigerian Customs Service Recruitment 2025

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has officially opened applications for the recruitment of officers into various positions within its Superintendent, Inspector, and Customs Assistant cadres.

This recruitment initiative comes following the NCS’s recent approval to onboard 3,927 officers in 2025, a strategic move aimed at enhancing trade facilitation and supporting Nigeria’s economic recovery.

Application Categories: 

Superintendent Cadre (Graduate)

Required Qualification: BSC/HND/BA
Category: Graduate Trainee
Location: Nationwide

Job Requirements:

  • Must be a Nigerian citizen by birth.
  • Must possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN).
  • Must not have any criminal record or be under investigation.

Academic Requirements:

  • University degree or Higher National Diploma (HND).
  • NYSC discharge certificate.

Medical Requirements:

  • Evidence of medical fitness from a recognized government hospital.
  • Must be physically and mentally fit.

Inspectorate Cadre (Diploma)

Required Qualification: OND/NCE
Category: National Diploma
Location: Nationwide

Job Requirements:

Customs Assistant Cadre (SSCE)

Required Qualification: SSCE
Category: Secondary School
Location: Nationwide

Job Requirements:

  • Must be a Nigerian citizen by birth.
  • Must possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN).
  • Must not have any criminal record or be under investigation.

Academic Requirements:

  • O’Level (WAEC or NECO).

Medical Requirements:

  • Evidence of medical fitness from a recognized government hospital.
  • Must be physically and mentally fit.

How to Apply for Nigerian Customs Service Recruitment

All applications must be submitted online. Eligible candidates should visit the Nigeria Customs Service Recruitment Portal.

Application Guidelines:

  1. Ensure you meet the required qualifications for the desired position.
  2. Submit only one application, as multiple submissions will lead to disqualification.
  3. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for further screening.

General Conditions

  • Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth.
  • Applicants must have completed primary education and obtained a First School Leaving Certificate.
  • Male applicants must not be shorter than 1.7 meters, while female applicants must not be shorter than 1.64 meters.
  • Applicants must be medically fit and free from physical or mental challenges.
  • No applicant should have a criminal record or membership in any secret society, cult, or drug addiction.
  • A certificate of state/LGA of origin must be presented.

Notice

  1. Only shortlisted candidates will proceed to the next phase of the recruitment process.
  2. Candidates are strictly prohibited from submitting falsified documents.
  3. Falsification of documents will result in immediate disqualification and possible prosecution.
  4. The application window is open for one week, from 27th December 2024 to 2nd January 2025.
