The Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy (LJLA) is a one-year fellowship program established by Lagos State Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu. It offers transformative, nonpartisan, and merit-based opportunities to young Nigerians eager to make a significant impact in their communities.

The academy aims to cultivate leadership skills, broaden perspectives, and equip participants to address challenges across various sectors, including public service.

Hands-On Governance Experience: Fellows will gain firsthand insight into state-level governance by serving as Special Assistants within assigned ministries, departments, or agencies.

Eligibility Criteria LJLA Fellowship Programme 2025/2026

Applicants must:

Be Nigerian citizens.
Have a minimum of three years of work experience.
Be under 35 years of age.
Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree.
Have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) or possess an exemption certificate.

Responsibilities of Fellows

In return, fellows are expected to apply their acquired knowledge to contribute to national development as leaders in their respective fields.
